microsoft sidewinder force feedback 2 mods

I bought one from auction and only realised afterwards that the stick is from Japan (110v grid) and I live in a country with 220v grid electricity. The FFB2 by far has the better FFB and gimbal feel between the two, but in the Blackshark, there is no question.... You need buttons and hats, and the FFB2 does not provide enough.

The joystick is recognised in Windows 10 and is working properly. This is now WAY better. Hour after hour of really heavy whacking of keys to punch holes in tape. This is a known problem that was mentioned in release 2 and that hasn't been resolved yet.

Windows detects the joystick just fine and it's configured to be the default controller. I pre-ordered MW5 and installed got it installed. The Force Feedback 2 joystick works well and it's a real shame that popular, modern sticks like the X52 and X55 are not even close to the build of the Sidewinder. MSFS2020 recognises the device and the name it but loads a default blank profile and you have set your own bindings.

The joystick works in the sense that the axis respond, but there is no feedback at all - the stick doesn't return to centre or offer any resistance throughout its movement range. Lack of automatic mapping may be part of the issue. I bought the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick brand new years ago. I echo all the positives about the stick....had mine for years through thousands of miles of Flight Sim, X series and now ED. The Force Feedback joystick that I had a few years ago made my hands feel a lot worse.

Can we temporarily restore it by altering any configuration file? At first, I was disappointed that I could not find a way to edit the axis profiles when assigning them, but then a little later I saw that option hiding away in the corner. MS make this great joystick compatible with FS 2020 ! I grabbed the latest version.

An old Il2 buddy of mine got one from them and said it was like new. I know Force Feedback is an older technology, but I would have at least expected basic analog bindings to work, even if I miss out on the Force Feedback stuff.

I've paid more than 100$ for a used SideWinder Force Feedback 2 in mint conditions ... be it a script or a configuration file mod - by all means let me know. Seems its better for me to stick with my Logitech 3dpro than to buy expensive, yet not so effective device.

The increased length decreases the overall force over the grip, but you get a wider range to move, which is really interesting. Hoping FFB comes to MSFS soon. The Sidewinder FFB2 works beautifully alongside the MS Strategic Commander. I’m using a Sidewinder FFB 2, no big problems with control, however I had to turn the sensitivity down to -60, which gives a huge response curve and improves accuracy near the center. I just got a used Sidewinder Force Feedback 2. Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2.

I liked to play with the Sidewinder. Not stirring but I am not sure Force Feedback is really that good for you. JavaScript is disabled. Odd... mine appears to funtion just fine. Basically they are built like tanks and seem to go on for ever. I bought it second-hand as well. I was going to buy a new joystick, but remembered I had this packed away in a box; looks like new too. I remember because it stood out to me when I opened the box and when I used to transport it I would use the box to keep it from getting damaged and I would throw the non form fitting bag over it (which was just a protection from water damage).

There ist no feedback, please add Support. The force feedback will not return. Otherwise, impossible to fly, too sensitive. One would think that since both are microsoft products someone would provide and answer.
