It is also likely Manny knows his parent's favoritism towards him and he often takes advantage of it like making money out of the no swearing rule, breaking Greg's items and getting away with it, never getting in trouble for his actions and often passing the blame towards Greg or Rodrick, etc. In the books, Mr. Warren is Frank's boss. Rowley is quite immature and seems a bit naive, but his charming, cheerful and innocent nature made him more popular with other students (particularly the girls) than Greg had. In the books, Rodrick owns and drives a white van, which sports his band's name written in large black letters, on either side of it and lacks any back seats, the reason being that Rodrick needs room for his band equipment.
