The story was repetitive at best. I have to be honest and say that this book is not my cup-of-tea. I'm a nurse and I get enough sadness in my life as it is. This book hurt my soul. Our darned society is WAY too into super slender women and not accepting of the great variety of HEALTHY women of various body types and sizes in our society. I didn't particularly like Cannie and yet I disliked what happened to her. A pick it up and put it down (finished in a day) read. Marvelous writing and such wit. I definitely had a love/hate relationship. It drove me crazy!

It's a genre I usually avoid, mostly because I tend to be a pretentious asshole. Four standalone romance novels with men who are definitely Good In Bed. It is highly intelligent, with a successful heroine Cannie Shapiro, who is almost painfully believable at times.
