A perfect narration from Rebecca Lowman. I will definitely be listening to this book again. Fangirl was a good feel good book with good believable characters and story line.
The favourite line for this author is “she rolled her eyes” I was rolling my eyes at how much this was said. Everything was just so unrealistic I couldn’t feel connected to any events that happen. She's horribly shy and has always buried herself in the fan fiction she writes, where she always knows exactly what to say and can write a romance far more intense than anything she's experienced in real life. It feels more like a short story than a novel. All characters crawled into my heart and you wanted a happy ending for. I heavily disliked the first third of this book. I didn't like Cath as a character - I found her hard to relate to - and I felt like it was being dismissive of fanfiction, portraying it - like Wren or Piper do - as something for lonely, intellectually lazy escapists. But it takes away from the story for me, that the book ends so suddenly and without allowing the characters to achieve something significant. xx, Great coming of age story!
