Anecdotally I've read on Style Forum that the classics fit a little bit bigger than the comfort craftsman. They have given a bit in some places and I can wear them without any pain. I decided to take the advice of one of the commenters here. I was sliding forward in the Comfort Craftsman which was pushing my toes into the end of the boot whenever I walked on a surface that was remotely angled.

Yes. You will probably find that you will have to endure some discomfort and pain before your shoes fit correctly. Also worth noting is that quite a few RM boots have reinforced toes in them as they are designed for use in industrial areas, and as a result the leather won't give as its the reinforcement shell that pinches your foot. I'd probably give it a go rather than selling them. They should have done that in the first place if their new salesman sold you a misfit, rather than resoling and destroying a brand new pair of boots. Maybe I should have bought a pair of Church's boots! Williams boots.
Damn, sounds like they will need replacing, or stretching. RM Williams boots too tight. Heel replacement is required. The guy who originally served me was in his first week at RM Williams. I was fitted in store and was sized as a 13 and when I received mine I had the same problem, lots of friction between my last 3 toes and the toe box.

I was sized up twice for some RMs, both times 11.5, and the one time I tried 12 my heel lifted slightly.
I found with the smaller sizes that by the end of the day my feet had swelled so much that my toes were starting to round in the boot and my little toe on my right foot (half a size bigger than my left) would be very sore.
I wore them 4-5 times a week for a month and I developed corns on my toes. Jonesenopoulis. They sized me as a 9.5F. Slightly too much, but RMW are always good slightly loose. Hope that helps. My first pair were Craftsmans in 8.5G which I bought from Steve @ Nungar in person without sizing my feet on a brannock first.
I got F's and was skeptical at first that I was a narrow, but they have moulded just right. The toe pieces have broken off each sole.

These RM Williams Comfort Craftsman boots had their soles and heels worn through and the leather uppers heavily scuffed and discoloured. As long as your issue isn't in the length, you'll be fine after a couple weeks wear. I was originally sized as a 9.5F which was far too narrow for me. Thanks for your post.
